"I just want to say how grateful I am for this course. I took it after I had signed up for an assessment for my 4-year-old daughter but before we got the diagnosis. The gift of this course was that when we were given the diagnosis after 2 months of tests and assessments, I was able to keep it together to hear what the psychologist was saying to me. I knew very little about autism and I can honestly say that I wouldn’t have gotten through the review interview without the preparation this course gave me. It took a while for me to get through the course though (2 weeks but there’s not a huge amount of content). I watched each segment individually because it was so hard to process. The information was delivered clearly and with empathy but the emotional reaction that I had was what took time to process. However once completing the course, I felt like I was strong and informed and as such more capable to keep solid throughout what was to come. It’s a lot to take in and difficult to negotiate with family and services. We’re still in the early stages post-diagnosis but I wanted to say thank you for this course. It saved me from having the rug pulled out from beneath me. Really happy to recommend it to anyone in that pre-diagnosis limbo."
