Your Instructor
Dr. Lauren Moskowitz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at St. John's University. She earned her B.S. from Cornell University and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Stony Brook University under the mentorship of the late Dr. Ted Carr, one of the co-founders of Positive Behavior Support and Functional Communication Training. Dr. Moskowitz completed her clinical internship at NYU Child Study Center and Bellevue Hospital and her postdoctoral fellowship at NYU Child Study Center. Her research focuses on behavioral assessment and intervention for problem behavior and anxiety in children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other developmental disabilities (DD). She has co-authored many papers and book chapters and has presented at numerous international, national, and regional conferences. Dr. Moskowitz has been teaching several undergraduate and graduate courses covering ASD and DD, Applied Behavior Analysis, and Positive Behavior Support, and has been on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Positive Behavior Interventions since 2013.
