Here is a brief overview of what you will learn in this course

50% of teachers leave the profession within the first 5 years of practicing! This occurs largely because of teacher “burnout” and is a growing epidemic.

You’ve worked too long and hard to fulfil your ambition of becoming a great teacher, so don’t let this happen to you!

Perhaps, at times, you’ve felt too tired to go to school and don’t want to get out of bed? Maybe it’s been hard to remember things or manage your emotions? Your temper may be getting the better of you and you are unable to bring the best version of yourself into the school and classroom each day.

You may be suffering from burnout already!

We know the great contribution teachers make to society. That’s why this course is so important and why we made it here at Education Elephant. It focuses on understanding the causes and symptoms of burnout, in schools and other workplaces, so you can stop burnout from taking control of you and your career or becoming an issue as your teaching career progresses.

Award winning, expert, author Dr. Kathy Murray has seen teachers quit the profession because of burnout first hand and has shown that by recognising feelings, identifying situations and triggers, to burnout you can help yourself manage the situation much better and see-off the threat.

Join her on this wonderful course as she illustrates the complexity and impact of the problem, while you follow a pathway of awareness, understanding, determination and commitment to prevent burnout and move toward emotional and physical well-being. You will learn how to put in place realistic strategies so that you feel good in the classroom, understanding how to harness self care and self love for yourself and then giving it to others. Witness tangible improvements in your ability to find a little mental peace amongst the chaos that will allow you to look back on your life, and deconstruct it analytically and sensibly.
