WISC V: Administration and Scoring - a guide for psychologists

Everything you need to know about how to administer and score the Weschler Intelligence Scale for Children, Fifth Edition

Designed for psychologists this course will teach you how to administer & score one of the most widely used intelligence tests in the world, the WISC-V.

The results of intelligence tests are frequently used as the basis for making important decisions about people – their educational placements, capacity to stand trial, eligibility for various services, examination accommodations, promotions. These are decisions which change lives and which can have long-lasting and irreversible effects. Given the importance of intelligence testing, it is imperative that these tests are administered and scored properly and accurately.

Learning how to administer and score the WISC-V is challenging. The administration manual gives clear and precise instructions, but carrying these out in a fluent manner requires a great deal of practice. Carefully following this course will give you all the knowledge and skills to administer the WISC-V, but we can’t practice for you. All we can do is make sure that you know all that needs to be known; that you are practicing the right things and that any mistakes you make are corrected.

You will need to have access to the full WISC-V UK kit which includes the stimulus books, the blocks, the administration and scoring manual, the technical manual, the scoring keys and some record forms.
